Transition to Virtual Learning for Tue Feb 16

Based upon the current forecast for weather early next week, and in the interest of student and staff safety, Bastrop ISD will transition to 100% virtual learning for Tuesday, February 16. (Monday is already a student holiday and a virtual professional development day for staff.) Campuses are working this afternoon to identify students who may need devices and/or hotspots so that we can send those home with students today. We will work with students who are unable to obtain a device and/or a hotspot.

To ensure the safety of our cafeteria staff, we will not offer curbside meals on Tuesday. In addition, athletic practices will be cancelled for Tuesday and games will be rescheduled. STARS will not be open on Monday or Tuesday due to expected weather.

We will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the weekend and into early next week in case the situation worsens and it becomes necessary to remain virtual for Wednesday.
