Jared Shaw Named Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at Cedar Creek High School

Jared ShawJared Shaw has been selected as Cedar Creek High School’s new athletic coordinator and head football coach. He is set to begin his new role effective immediately.

“My family and I are thrilled to join the Cedar Creek campus and community,” said Shaw. “Our goal is to leverage athletics as a powerful tool to equip student-athletes with the skills they need to succeed in all areas of life. We aim to lead by example, with a foundation built on the core values of Discipline, Effort, Toughness, and Honor. Beyond the playing field, we are dedicated to fostering a sense of pride, teamwork, and responsibility that extends into the classroom and throughout the community. Together, we will build a program that not only excels at a high level but also shapes well-rounded individuals who are prepared for the challenges that life presents.”

With more than ten years of experience as a teacher and coach, Shaw brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a passion for student-athlete success.

“We are extremely excited to bring Coach Shaw to the Cedar Creek athletic program,” said Eliot Allen, BISD Athletic Director. “He is a dynamic leader with a strong passion for all sports. His energy is infectious and we are so excited to see the future of CCHS athletics.”

He currently serves the Copperas Cove High School athletic program as the Assistant Head Football Coach, Offensive Coordinator and UIL Coordinator. He has also held the position of Assistant Head Football Coach at both Lockhart High School and Ellison High School. During his career Shaw has launched and implemented new community outreach programs, established community relationships, and deployed character-building opportunities.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jared Shaw as our new Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach,” said Kasie Stagman, Cedar Creek High School Principal. “With his experience of fostering student success and motivating excellence both on and off the field, Coach Shaw is the ideal leader to take not only our football program, but all athletic programs to the next level.”

Shaw is a 2008 Pflugerville High School graduate, where he was a standout athlete as a three-year letterman in football and track. He continued his football career at Howard Payne University, serving as team captain, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He later earned his Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M Commerce.
