Philosophical Premises
Bastrop ISD is first focused on the whole child’s physical and mental health amidst this separation from campus learning communities. BISD staff will continue to work with students and families to support needs as the district transitions into At-Home Learning.
- We understand that during this time of global pandemic crisis and extended school closure, we are anchoring on extending grace over grades to our students.
- We understand that in shifting to At-Home learning we are not able to replicate our full instructional delivery model and that the integrity of our grading system is impacted.
- Finally, we understand that our students have varying levels of support and instructional resources at home.
