The Department of Communications aims to facilitate open and effective communication within BISD and between BISD and the public. In addition, we aim to foster relevant, purposeful connections between home, school, and the greater community for the benefit of all students.

In Communications, our responsibilities relate to news and information, crisis communication, media relations, branding and marketing, student and staff engagement, public information, and elections oversight. In Community Relations, our responsibilities are focused on community engagement and partnerships, community education, early childhood care, and after-school and summer programming. Our priorities are simple yet profound.
