New Student Enrollment
Families with students who are new to the district and/or did not complete the 2023-2024 school year at a Bastrop ISD school should plan to complete the new student online enrollment process instead. Returning Student Information Verification
Beginning April 3, 2024, families with students returning to Bastrop ISD will need to verify their child's information is correct in Family Access.

What are the requirements for pre-kindergarten enrollment?
Children who live in the Bastrop ISD boundaries who will be 4 years old on or before September 1st and meet one of the following criteria are eligible attend pre-Kindergarten at no cost:- Unable to speak and comprehend the English language
- Qualify for free or reduced-price lunch or currently receiving SNAP or TANF benefits.
- Homeless
- Currently or previously in DFPS foster care system
- Dependent of active duty military
- Dependent of active duty military injured or killed while on active duty
- Dependent of person eligible for Star of Texas award
Documentation is required as proof of eligibility. -
What are the requirements for kindergarten enrollment?
Children who live in the Bastrop ISD boundaries and who will be 5 years old on or before September 1 are eligible for Kindergarten.

Where will my child attend school?
Students are required to attend school in the attendance zone of their primary residence, with some limited exceptions for students enrolled in special programs. General information on Bastrop ISD attendance zones is available on the Attendance Boundaries & Maps page.

Where can I get a certified copy of my child's birth certificate?
Official birth certificates may be obtained by calling the state health department in the state where your child was born. In Texas, you may order a birth certificate online from the Bureau of Vital Statistics, call the office in Austin at 512-458-7111, or visit the Bastrop County Clerk's office in person to obtain a Texas birth certificate. Please allow sufficient time for your request to be processed.

How do I submit required documents?
All required documents should be uploaded as part of the new student online enrollment process. A certified birth certificate and parent/guardian photo ID must be presented to the campus registrar for any student under the age of 11. If you are unable to upload the documents successfully during the new student online enrollment process, please contact your campus registrar for assistance.
