Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills (TEKS)

The State Board of Education has adopted a curriculum for all Texas schools called the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). These learning standards identify what students should know and be able to do at every grade level in every foundation and enrichment course. Bastrop Independent School District has designed a district curriculum that includes all of the learning standards outlined in the TEKS. If you would like to view individual standards for your child, you can visit the Texas Education Agency or talk to your child’s teacher(s).
