BootUp 1:1 is an exciting development in our district plan to improve the academic achievement for all students. We are proud to provide devices for all students and are requiring parent partnership to support the effort. The Bastrop Protection Plan is an affordable way to ensure that families are protected in the event of accident, damage, theft, or loss.

The Bastrop Protection Plan fee is only $25 for the first child in the household and a discounted $15 for each child after that, and a student who had no claims in 23-24 will carry over their fee for the 24-25 school year. We have provided a convenient way to pay the protection plan fee here:

About the Plan

The Bastrop Protection Plan is a comprehensive program designed to safeguard the school-issued devices that play a crucial role in supporting your child's education. As technology becomes an integral part of the learning process, we must  ensure the proper care and protection of these devices to guarantee a successful academic journey for your child.

For the 2024-2025 school year, the enrollment fee for the Bastrop Protection Plan will be $25 for the first student in your family. If you have multiple students in the district, each additional student will be charged a reduced fee of $15. This tiered pricing structure allows us to extend the benefits to larger families while keeping the program affordable for all.  If there were no claims made against the Bastrop Protection Plan during the 2023-2024 school year, we have waive the enrollment fee for the 2024-2025 school year. This is our way of rewarding families who have contributed to the plan and had a fortunate year without needing to utilize its benefits.

This plan coverage minimizes the financial burden on families in case of unforeseen incidents.

2. Theft and Loss Coverage: Unfortunately, theft and loss of devices can occur, especially in busy school environments. The Bastrop Protection Plan provides coverage for the replacement of lost or stolen devices, ensuring that your child can quickly get back to their studies without disruption.

3. Equity and Inclusivity for All Students: We aim to create a more equitable learning environment. Ensuring that students have access to the same level of device protection helps bridge the digital divide and fosters a fair and inclusive educational experience for every student.

4. Reduced Repair Costs: In the event of damages not covered under warranty, the protection plan significantly reduces the out-of-pocket costs for repairs or replacements. This ensures that your child's device is promptly repaired and available for educational use.
