Dr. Matthew Mix attended the University of Southern Mississippi in 1995. In 2001, he earned a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas. Upon graduation, Dr. Mix opened and operated his first Chiropractic clinic in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. In 2006 he moved to Bastrop, where he actively practices today. Always learning himself, Dr. Mix recently returned back to the classroom to earn his Diplomate in Philosophic Chiropractic Standards (DPHCS) from the International Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Mix believes strongly in being involved in the community and in volunteering on behalf of students in our public schools. 

Dr. Mix has served as a leader at the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, Bastrop Downtown Business Alliance, Rotary Club of Bastrop County, and Bastrop Education Foundation, just to name a few. 

Dr. Mix has served on the BISD Board of Trustees since 2013.
