Bastrop Intermediate School will undergo significant renovations. In the fall of 2021, the campus has an enrollment of more than 800 students. As part of the renovation process, BIS will be transformed into a 6-8 grade school. This will accommodate Bastrop ISD's anticipated growth. The transformation and renovations into a comprehensive middle school include the construction of a new gym, weight room, locker rooms, restrooms and concession stands, athletic field and track, music, drama, art spaces, and science labs.
